📀Step 2: Configuring BIOS

After you flashed bios, enter bios, open advanced mode and apply these settings 1:1 DO NOT MISS A STEP!

Warning: Incorrect BIOS flashing can damage your system. Proceed at your own risk. Ensure you have the correct BIOS version and a stable power source. Ask the support for help if needed!

Identifying your Motherboard & System Information

  1. Open System Information (msinfo32 in searchbar)

  2. Find BaseBoard Product & Manufacturer

  3. Note Bios Version/Date

Note: If your system-information is inaccurate/Unsure, please go to your UEFI/BIOS settings & Verify the information.

TUTORIAL FOR EACH MOTHERBOARD

  • FIRST, Download & Run this tool, do OPTION 1 or 2 (follow loader instructions) - [REQUIRED]

OPTION 1

  • Make sure to download a different Bios version than current one (preferably downgrade one version)

  • Format your USB to FAT32. (Right click USB, click format, put FAT32 on File System) If your USB don't have FAT32 option use this tool: CLICK ME

  • Flash Bios TWO TIMES, this is really important! Don't need to flash 2 different versions (Just repeat the flash process on Bios twice)

OPTION 2

  • Make sure to download a Bios version from 2021/2020.

  • Format your USB to FAT32. (Right click USB, click format, put FAT32 on File System) If your USB don't have FAT32 option use this tool: CLICK ME

  • Flash Bios TWO TIMES, this is really important! Don't need to flash 2 different versions (Just repeat the flash process on Bios twice)

2. Configuring BIOS:

Intel CPU:

  1. Virtualization:

    1. Advanced -> CPU Configuration -> SVM Mode set to Disabled.

  2. AMD NX Mode:

    1. Advanced -> CPU Configuration -> NX Mode set to Disabled.

  3. AMD IOMMU:

    1. Advanced -> AMD CBS -> IOMMU set to Disabled.

  4. TPM:

    1. Advanced -> AMD fTPM -> AMD fTPM Switch set to Disabled.

    2. Advanced -> Trusted Computing -> Security Device Support set to Disabled.

  5. Armoury Crate:

    1. Tool -> ASUS Armoury Crate -> Download & Install ARMOURY CRATE app set to Disabled.

  6. Fast Boot:

    1. Boot -> Boot Configuration -> Fast Boot set to Disabled.

  7. Secure Boot:

    1. Boot -> Secure Boot -> OS Type set to Other OS.

  8. Wifi & Bluetooth

    1. Advanced -> Onboard Devices -> Wifi & BlueTooth connectivity set to Disabled.

Remember: On every motherboard it's different, have a look around, if you can't find the right ones or are confused, feel free to open a ticket.

AMD CPU:

  1. Virtualization:

    1. Advanced -> CPU Configuration -> Intel (VMX) Virtualization Technology set to Disabled.

  2. VT-d:

    1. Advanced -> System Agent (SA) Configuration -> VT-d set to Disabled.

  3. TPM:

    1. Advanced -> PCH-FW -> TPM Device Solution set to Enable Discrete Firmware/TPM.

    2. Advanced -> Trusted Computing -> Security Device Support set to Disabled.

  4. Armoury Crate:

    1. Tool -> ASUS Armoury Crate -> Download & Install ARMOURY CRATE app set to Disabled.

  5. Fast Boot:

    1. Boot -> Boot Configuration -> Fast Boot set to Disabled.

  6. Secure Boot:

    1. Boot -> Secure Boot -> OS Type set to Other OS.

  7. Wifi & Bluetooth

    1. Advanced -> Onboard Devices -> CNVi Module / Wifi & BlueTooth connectivity set to Disabled.

Remember: On every motherboard it's different, have a look around, if you can't find the right ones or are confused, feel free to open a ticket.

3. Disable Core Isolation:

This step does not take place in the BIOS but in the Windows settings.
