Install the driver

Change to the directory containing the downloaded driver and, as root, run:

Note that many Linux distributions provide their own packages of the NVIDIA Linux Graphics Driver in the distribution's native package management format. These distribution packages may integrate better with your distribution and you may prefer to use them instead of NVIDIA's official package. SuSE users should read the SuSE NVIDIA Installer HOWTO before downloading the driver.
